Install It to Your Home Screen

FieldOps runs in a browser, but it's built to install like a real app. Once installed, it opens full-screen, works offline, and shows up next to your other apps.

On iPhone / iPad

Open fieldops.app in Safari (not Chrome — Apple only lets Safari install PWAs). Tap the Share button at the bottom, scroll down, tap Add to Home Screen, tap Add.

On Android

Open fieldops.app in Chrome. Look for the install prompt that pops up, or tap the three-dot menu and choose Install app. You can also long-press the tab and pick Add to Home screen.

Why install?

Installed, the app opens full-screen (no browser chrome), holds GPS better, works offline once you've loaded a map, and gets its own icon. In the field that's the difference between "I can use it" and "I can't be bothered."

What Happens Next

After you sign in, you land on the Projects screen — that's the list of operations you have access to. If you're a new user with no shared link, it'll be empty. That's fine. Either:

  • An admin shares an operation with you (QR code, link, or PIN), or
  • You create a new operation yourself if you have admin access.
